We’ve decided you’ve been listening to “Too Late“, “Fever“, “Ain’t the Same” and other tracks from our “Live Studio Sessions” DVD for long enough. Of course the tracks will always be there in case you want to go back to them, but in early May this year, I made a selection of music for a new record and tracked a few guitar parts to show drummer Dú Longuim, bass player Rodrigo Mantovani and producer Luis ‘Granja’ Venturin. After a bit of rehearsing, we recorded ten songs for a brand new album. The sessions lasted between June 30th and July 3rd, and no other recording experience I’ve ever been a part of has been as gratifying as this one was.
There are nine originals to be released by the end of 2011. Because there are several technical issues involved, I am not specifying a date.
The entire rehearsal and recording process was captured on video by the extremely creative people at Kairos Filmes. Before each track is released, an episode of a short documentary on the making of the album will be uploaded to Vimeo and YouTube.
I am listening to some of the music we made as I write this entry and am anxious to share it all with you. Don’t forget to come back and check if the album is out!
